Baby Hitler is a provocative sculpture that confronts one of history’s most unsettling moral hypotheticals: if you could prevent immense future suffering, would you commit an unforgivable act in the present? By depicting Adolf Hitler as an infant, the work collapses the distance between innocence and atrocity, forcing viewers to grapple with the tension between potential and responsibility. The sculpture does not offer answers. Instead, it invites reflection on free will, determinism, and the ethics of preemptive violence. Is evil innate or formed? Can a life be judged by what it might become?
